Great idea Lydia and a nice "greenback" too! :-) CJ

I haven't seen (through or not) a hundred dollar bill in a very long time.

Mmmm... it will make me take a fresh look at US money, next time I had one of these in my hands!

Our currency so terribly devaluated against the US Dollar (and just about everything else!) recently. Not too long ago, we had to pay around 8 South Africa Rand to purchase a Dollar... that number is now closer to 10. Holidays to the US have suddenly become even more expensive! Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with photography... Sorry...

I was really not sure how you did this. I also wondered whether it was photoshopped. Thanks for the explanation. Very well done! Regards Nico

Now that you've pointed it out... it's not a commentary on big business... but more on the government itself. "Dependence Hall", indeed. *sigh* More, more, more tax money... Give us more. Thanks for your comment on the image, Tom. ~Lydia

Nice macro and green and commentary about big business in these economic times. "WE TRUST" in "DEPENDENCE HALL", indeed. -tv

Yes, Michael. Thanks! It's a single capture... no Photoshop except for ... umm... contrast and sharpening, I think. ~Lydia

So you did this by back lighting the bill? I'm impressed at the beautiful balance of both sides. -Michael

Thanks for the comments... I think you'll have to talk to the Treasury if you want the eye on the clock. I don't make 'em... I just shoot 'em. *grin* It's a hundred dollar bill with the back showing through... so I can't move any of the items. ~Lydia

Nice crop Lydia. Macro always amazes me when it reveals such detail that we tend to overlook. - Angioman

I ran for my wallet so that I could determine exactly what you did here...alas, it is in its usual state of emptiness. But it really doesn't matter since the image is arresting on its own merit. Kudos on the idea and execution. Sharon's comment is interesting and the placement of eye and clock face might be fun to explore if the composition and placement of "We Trust" held as strong as it is here. Thank you for the great kick-off to the Eligible Gallery. -Michael

Very nice, Lydia! I keep wanting his eye to be directly behind the clock face! ~Sharon
