Getting a shot like this has been on my "to-do" list for 5 years. Ever since someone at the University of Oslo started lighting one up before Christmas each season. I drive past it, but if I walk I always take an other and shorter route. So I never get around to that shot! This is a nice picture :)

Thanks, Sharon, I am coming to accept this image myself...it doesn't look entirely terrible to me today....maybe it's even half-way okay...(Smile) Traveller

sorry Traveller as it seems that you took offense to my comment.
What I meant was that it is a great start to the eligible gallery in this challenge precisely because it IS spectacular. It is definitely more than just something. A hard act to follow. Please accept my apologies.

Good one Trav... kinda ghostly but nicely so? The highlighted trees in the background give it a 3D effect.

I like the way the trunks of the trees are lit in your trees. Usually they are just wrapped in the lights but this has a different, more interesting look to the typical lighted tree shot. CJ

That's very pretty... Hard to capture, too. ~Lydia

Well, it is a little different.....great start? Hardly. Still, it's better than a sharp stick in the eye. I had high hopes for this and have a dozen variations...but this is at least something. Best Wishes, Traveller
