Reminds me of summer picnics in the 70'ties.The spots indicate that this "whatever-it-is" has a purpose, but the POV/crop turns it into art - the "less is more" effect. Nice find, love the merry design.

I wish there were a bit more sky in the picture. Then, the colors in the stripes would appear to be nearly matched by the colors in the background, amazingly enough. -- Victor

it looks like a shower curtain. But why would there be a shower curtain in Battery Park?!!! I love the garish color though.... (and yes, the trees too)
