I guess that this is 'as shot' because it seems a little soft as one has come to expect from our DSLRs?
There are some vibrant colours in this but they are somewhat subdued by the more neutral tones of the surrounds. I think you could make this 'pop' a little more by boosting the contrast and perhaps saturation a little, particularly for this 'garish' topic.
