Thanks, tvsometime, for writing up the "tip and tricks". Wonderful! Regards Nico

Thanks all for the comments. As to Nico's question, the secret here was absolute calm, no wind at all - otherwise impossible. Tripod of course. Lighting overcast sky. Macro bokeh took care of the nondescript bg. The camera setup was odd - a Rebel XTI with Novapro adaptor that let me use a 35 yr old Nikkor prime lens and an extension tube between the lens and body to extend the focus down into macro territory. On the XTI, I can meter with this combination using aperture priority. On my Nikon D200, I cannot use the lens at all or risk damaging the indexing lever on the camera body. Hence, the XTI. -tv

Terrific TV, love the crisp focus and simple composition.

Beautifully done! This type of image is so much on my personal wish-list of images I still wish to try. Are there any tips/tricks to share? Camera on tripod, I presume? Lighting somewhat subdued? Careful choice of background...? Compliments. Regards Nico

I love the upside down view that the water drops create, lovely!

Great capture. I love the sparkle of the water against the very subdued background. - CameraShy09
