A Placeholder for Pops

***With a little chokecherry syrup as garnish***

Just for fun. Messy, not at all tidy or clean...it's difficult to spell with runny syrup.

This is just too good for me to replace with my Joan of Arc picture so I'm going to leave it here.

Man, all you challengers are simply the best people and best friends!

Heh heh, thanks guys. Nico, chokecherry is Prunus virginiana, a common shrub in the area I live. I have a ton of the cherries this year in my yard, and made some syrup last week (which I rarely do). I was just doing some more research, and maybe I'll try some chokecherry leather next.

The other morning I woke up to my dog growling at something he saw thru the window by my bed. I looked out (after putting on my glasses), and there was a bear on the slope across the creek--probably visiting the chokecherries.

(And totally off-topic, I woke to snow yesterday morning.)

Oh super... and sweet (in more ways than one!)... I have never heard of "chokecherry" before. I will have to google that one! Regards Nico
