Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to capture an image that provokes our sense of touch. Just as an image of a slice of apple pie thats still steaming from the heat of the oven triggers our sense of taste and makes our mouths water, that close up of a cactus can make us say 'ouch'.

A study of light and textures - what makes cotton look soft? or tree bark rough? how can light help emphasize this? - all things we'll get to experiment with for this challenge.

The Eligible gallery is for images captured with a Canon DSLR during the Challenge period and subject to rules outlined in the Official Challenge FAQ.

The Exhibition gallery is for images taken at any time with any camera.
