Flew in and out of Fresno. The first leg was to Yosemite. I stayed in Oakhurst, about 15 miles outside the south entrance to the park. There were no rooms in the park, so I had to drive the approximately 45 miles back and forth to the valley each day (you have to book rooms a year or more in advance). After Yosemite, I drove back through Fresno to go to Kings Canyon and Sequoia. I had a room in the Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia (a very nice place). All totaled, I put about 750 miles on the rental car.
