The 250th anniversary of the British capture of the original French fort. Native American tribes fought on both sides and played a key role. The fort's main building dates back to 1726 and the area was originally occupied in 1679. The year after the fort fell to the British (1760) all of Canada came under British control and set the stage for the American Revolution.
