Barrow in October much different than my previous trip in summer to photograph the Eiders in breeding plumage. The high temperatures were around 25 degrees. My wife and I went with John Puschok of Zugunruhe Birding Tours who began going to Barrow many years ago to see the thousands of Ross's Gulls migrate by just off shore. We had a great trip as can be seen by the photos. The temperature didn't seem to bother us as we were layered up!
