The Cornford Harlequin Mk1 is a six-watt, all-valve, all-British, class A amp - designed to put ultimate guitar tone as the number one priority. Hand-reared, hand-wired, the luxury of low volume production means the amps can be put together by hand, using tried and trusted techniques. So all Cornfords are hand wired with tag board construction. Using a single EL84 valve, the amp operates in class A mode. Transformers are designed by Martin Kidd and built to his specifications. The whole thing sits inside a cabinet of solid, lock-jointed pine with a ply baffle and covered in ox-blood vinyl with metal corners and leather handle; every detail has been thought out, from the large 'breathable' cabinet to the purpose-built metal grille.
This particular example is quite an early one, numbered 0098, dated October 2000 and signed by Paul Cornford and Martin Kidd.
