Bought in York 2013. Currently having a lot of body work undertaken by Classic Motor Cars of Bridgenorth. The areas in particular that were in need of renovation were - the scuttles, evidenced by a small area of rust infront of the drivers side windscreen, which needed both wings to be removed. Rusting on the floors under ones feet, needed to be removed and replaced. The bumpers were becoming uneven, due to rusting of the bumper beams, which required to be renovated. The seat belt mounts were corroding. All rusting areas were replaced with new metal......and the rear suspension needed to be rebuilt along with the front wheel bearings, four new tyres, and rewaxoyling! Front seats recovered, cockpit recarpeted in Wilton and ready to roll!
Could this have been avoided at the purchase stage? Not sure as I looked pretty carefully, but possibly not carefully enough!
