We had a wonderful week based at the Dahab Paradise Hotel in Sinai before Christmas. (See tripadvisor for reviews) We snorkeled, visited St Catherines Monastry and saw some most ancient Christian scripts for example the Codex Syriacus. We watched the sun set from the summit of Mount Sinai, and spent two days in Petra, all absolutely stunning! All the more astonishing because the buildings in Petra are carved from the solid rock, and mountains levelled to create High Places, breath taking!
Other Petra galleries include Henry Richardsons (whom we met on the coach to Petra and in whose company we found ourselves over the two days of our trip! He also managed to photograph a goat raiding our coffee outside the 'Monastry' in Petra!)
