A lovely warm week pre Easter saw us basking in 25 degrees at Puerto de la Aldea San Nicolas. Little known to tourists so only full of Spaniards :-) great walking although more arid than we expected....... We went to Gui-Gui from Tasartico, unfortunately the holiday timing was such that we couldnt get to the main beach because the low water times and nightfall were too close for a safe return. The first beach is all large pepples and alot of rubbish poo and campers, enough said (and this is a National Park). Do time your holiday by the tide if you want to go :-) otherwise you will have a nice walk.....The walk to Playa de la Virgen is interesting - the beach is volcanic rock - very rough with one verty short section of sand in front of some hippies which is to the left of the Barranco. You must carry all your water (unlike Gui-Gui). We had a great week, its lovely - dont equivocate, just go!
