this Bottle gentian photographed at Ferguson Forest Centre on the same day
as the previous more lilac-coloured one. The blooms seemed more typical in colour,
leaves green and not so large and somewhat drooping -- and also not so thick and glossy
and tinged with purple. This flower was probably about 50 metres or so distant
from the other group, but probably growing under similar conditions.. crowded among
forest plants -- only definitely not dominating its space as in the case of the
lilac-coloured plants.
