-- a subfamily of Chrysomelidae
female with two competing males -- found on emergent vegetation along
the shoreline of Jock River survey section. These beetles have aquatic
larvae.

These are leaf beetles in the genus Donacia, a pair of males vying for the favors of a female:-) Donacia are aquatic in the larval stage (family Chrysomelidae).
