Dryad's Saddle -- late May
Polyporus squamosus
This cluster of Dryad's Saddle was found on May 25, emerging on a
Sugar Maple Snag at Baird Woods in Lanark County. I visited again
on June 11, and found the cluster to be well advanced in size and
shape (see next 2 photos).

This is such a cool photo. The fungi look almost alive (in the breathing sense) and very alien. Great work!
