Ahoy, I'm Rev. Dr. Ronny W. Dower, Admiral of the Line, 26Jan1981. My card is signed by Founder John L. Teets-Chief-Board of Admiralty. On 8Apr1981, I presented my Father in Law a Mayor of Chapmanville, WV with his Admiral Commission signed by Admiral D. Keith Jarvis, President CRN. I have a photo of that presentation. He left us in 2006. I recently received the original Commissioning Cert. from one of his children. I note it's pristine condition, indicating that he treasured and was honored to claim membership in the Cherry River Navy. As I remove my membership card from my wallet, I note that it is dog-eared from being carried. It is my goal to nominate my son who is admirable enough to also receive Commissioning. Fair winds and following seas.

I have a wine decanter and 4 wine glasses that were made to commemorate the Cherry River Navy. I worked for a short while for Jim Comstock in his bookstore (1972-1974) and was gifted the set. Was hoping to find a value for it. If any info please let me know and indicate CRN as title.

Sir's, My name is Capt. Clyde L Stanfield Jr. I've been a U.S.C.G Maritime Captain since 1984. Went over sea's in 1985 until 2000. My father passed in 1997. I was going through his old wallet today and found his I.D. card for the Cherry River Navy of W. V. Didn't know anything about this till today. Looks like you have a good time and I'm sure my father enjoyed his membership. The card says he was commissioned on July 20, 1992. Thanks for being a part of my fathers life. He carried his card till the day he died. We lived in Charleston, W.V. when I was very small. You would have loved trading stories with him. Just wanted to say hello and thanks.
