Cornwall north coast- St Ives to Zennor

The granite takes over here from the metaliferous sandstones, leaving the impression of nature getting the better of the man-made artifacts. However, the difficulty of access to the shoreline gives sanctuary to seals and porpoises. On the edge of the cliffs, sometimes agriculture goes right to the edge, often rough ground provides food for plenty of birds including Goldfinches.

Rain stopped play at lunchtime on original trip - possibly a farewell to Cornwall supplement 2014
