boatshell with oystercatchers

Woodbridge, Suffolk

it always seems curious how many boats just get abandoned; maybe not as repairable as their construction suggests. This last navigable stretch of the river Deben is a popular abandoning site

This one does look a little leaky :0) I agree with others, they do make interesting photographic subjects and the birds seem to like them too.

At least they make good photographic subjects. There is a boat skeleton half buried in sand at Rhossili beach in the Gower that features regularly in magazines etc.
