Ullswater & Helvellyn

We tend to divert into the lakes on our way up to Scotland, so there are a few hit-and-run shots of Ullswater area and a few from Pooley Bridge area from May 2011 & 2013

I had to wait 40 years between my first ascent of Helvellyn (in the dark) to the 2006 trip on a day of blue skies. This is the geriatric route from Legburthwaite and Sticks pass and I was pleased that some octagenarians were still plodding up mid-afternoon.
