Portloe is the furthest east you can go without crowds; only the slightly posh hotel for teas. The gallery compounds about 3 day walks and several excellent, but quiet beaches. The NT car park above Kiberick is good for walk back to Portloe and the more scenic cliffs to Nare Head and possibly to Carne for tea. Gull rock gives a constant offshore focus and views often extend back to Dodman point.The western half can be walked from either Pendower or Portscatho, perhaps from the Porthcurnick car park. There is an excellent beach at Pendower and there are a number of small beaches between there and Portscatho. Unfortunately the Pendower Hotel has closed but the one at Carne has a nice outside terrace for teas if you can outface the smart set.
