this is the prime location in England for viewing Gannets and runs the Farne Islands a close 2nd for Guillemots, Razor Bills and Puffins. I had a half day each side of a 1 day course with Steve Hedges ( https://www.stevehedgesphotography.co.uk/seabird-photography-course-bempton-cliffs-yorkshire/ each with some sunny intervals. The course day was overcast with an evil northerly gale, but Steve made light of that and did his best to correct about a decade of bad habits and teaching the old dog some new tricks. The implication is always that its the dog's brain that has gone downhill, but it is also the muscles standing patiently at half-zoom waiting for the bird to arrive that I found the killer
