Acton Scott Historic Working Farm

This is a farm conserving the working environment as near as practical to how a model farm was run towards the end of the C19th, complete with local breeds and machinery (from threshing machines down to mousetraps). The only H&S notice I saw was knocked over, below the forge in use by the blacksmith and you are encouraged to mix with the animals to the greatest practical extent. Nothing twee or prissy in sight.

Only suggest it is not too good an idea to around in a rush with a party of 30 people. Its worth an all day visit
