East Of The Sun West And Of The Moon

Princess
Waxen, gallant
Ceding, questing, washing
Tallow rushlight threatens union
Consort

Sketching and watercolor layered with photos of frame and vase of flowers. Seeing it online, think I need to fix that left corner and maybe make the moon bigger. To me, the color white is used symbolically and repeatedly in the story, so I went with "Fauvism" to represent success and empowerment. (And as a toast to the poor horses given a swat under the left ear)

Like all your images, lovely and poignant. I think the only thing I might suggest is softening the line between the two areas, perhaps a fade or blur, for the sake of integrating them without losing the separation and sequence. But I do love this one a lot--your combination of media is wonderful, in fact inspiring!

First off, I love this one. I agree about the moon and would like to see how you decide to fix it--Post one side by side in the gallery if you are able to do some computer work and change things. The only other part that I'm not so sure about is the whitish line running vertical along side the animals head. I think he must be a Polar bear. Right? One of the things I really like about this piece is the way you broke it up with the rectangles. Just so very cool.--skunk
