Birth of Jesus dtk

I remember from the first Christmas that I was to celebrate the birth of Christ. We would have a birthday party at church, so I loved that memory even to now,,,,, I don't say Merry Christmas, I say celebrate The Birth,,,,,

A very arresting image - meaningful to people of all beliefs, I think. Really lovely.

Gazing into the candle flame is like gazing into a fire place. It begets contemplation and introspection. I love the serenity of this image. The line work holds you in so that you don't go beyond the candle become distracted with what could be beyond it. A very beautiful image.--skunk

A lovely reminder of the meaning of this celebration. Even for non-Christians, it is a great story and reminder that it's all about giving. The honeyed colors bring a great feeling of peace and comfort and I like those streaky things a lot--they give it spice as well as nice.

it's nice your lutheran faith is so near and dear to you, donna, as shown in this lovely holiday image of the "flame" burning brightly. (i also was baptised in a lutheran church and have strong memories of church life growing up in connecticut.) shu
