Geranos Xερουβείμ

"Geranium Cherub" from the Greek word Geranos. An Angelic friend knocked a couple of petals off the blossom when she passed a salad on the Turkey Day Table . "Of course," then I had to get up and leave the table and return with my camera, a good tasting holiday punny for all you all= ) Look...there's baby Jesus in the Waldorf, just kidding Paul. Lol A Holiday Beso XXXOO=O

Just got home from the family gathering, Schleitwiler Christmas, after seeing the new babies and sharing great food. And you've got it here!
More than just a pretty picture of flowers and food, but the experience of it. Especially reminiscent of the babies' reaction to all these sights , sounds and smells.
The light tracing of the cherub also a visual reference to the aromas rising like steam from the food and flowers.
Would be interested in the reactions of people who are not "in on" the challenge to this image.

Love the smelling child--don't need the food below. Using a crystal type brush (finish?) here is actually a stroke of genius--do wish I'd thought of it, since the only sensory experience I can isolate from the event is one of smell. As we say to the children, "Good job!"

What a great way to represent "olfactory sense of smell". Such a delicate, fleeting memory. The brush strokes delineating the child's face are beautifully done. Actually, I could go with just the upper two thirds of this image. That makes it for me.--skunk

Yeah I was wondering due to the anthropomorphic nature of the Cherub if anyone would see it? Without me putting it in the tile and or mentioning it? A bit like the north wind image concept but both modern and retro-ish with the charismatic nature of spirits and smell.
