The result of a discussion with a friend about this challenge; she wondered about the purpose of it, and I was trying to explain the practical as well as the aesthetic reasons for practicing design and using patterns.

Cool idea - I like the paw print - only thing would be that when you sell it to the welcome mat company - you might make the paw print other than black 'cause the dirt on the shoes is usually more grey-brown. Around here anyway. Love it. Laurie
