Reminds me of a tune and 'line' from the song, by Marianne Faithful, "As tears Go By" the line is "I sit and watch as the tears go by." Well played Laurie....

the expression is definitely unhappy. the overall image is weightly so even changing the mouth to a smile would not help. maybe the passage of time will help w these feelings, laurie! believe me, you have my complete understanding! create another one of your wonderful images and see if you can blend out any nagativity. maybe that will be a start to a more positive outlook. shu
I think the title should be Its not good news. This is powerful and makes me think of all the different kinds of news we are afraid of hearing. We all have our own personal fears that we keep to ourselves. It just seems she is looking out at life while hiding behind the window slats. Such sadness. Great Laurie! --skunk
This is so beautiful, and somehow tragic. The fading of all but the middle of the face is very intriguing. This one requires at least one more visit for contemplation. For some reason, I feel anxiety looking at it.
