Nature Recycles

I extracted the orchid and the skull and slipped a new layer with a sandy hue underneath, adding some monochromatic noise. I gave the two elements a drop shadow and an inner bevel, then added a light spectrum gradient on top, Twirled it and set that layer to Multiply at 88%.

What an unusual combination. I love the softness of the background layer and how the drop shadow emphasizes the subtle texture. The orchid is so soft and dreamy--I want to just jump into it and have it envelop me.
