You may remember the song with the same title by Don Henley, Danny Kortchmar, and Jai Winding. I've been listening to the version by Danish/Vietnamese bassist Chris Minh Doky and the Danish singer Sanne Salomonsen. I always loved this song, but realized I had never really paid much attention to the story.
It's basically just two images - the New York skyline image is by Sander Lamme, made available by the Wikimedia Commons, and the dad/daughter image is a stock image from iStock Photo.
So, I boosted color/contrast a little on the background, reduced brightness and saturation on the people, then added some grain to match the grain in the background. Text is set in Bodoni, and a little white "fog" is added to the lower right to make the portion of the lyric readable.
The track is available on iTunes and Spotify (at least in my geography).
