The Canideer

A little-used hiking trail in the wilds of Onterrier, Canidae.

Canideer - a very rare creature, sometimes confused with gryphons or wyverns. A mythical cross between ungulates and canidae, the canideer has features of both...the paws and head of a dog, the body of a deer, large ears like flowers, and when young, it has wings which drop off once it reaches the age to mate. Very shy, the canideer is rarely glimpsed and is thought to be nearly extinct. This is the only known photograph.

Charming idea and image. In spite of my general disdain of the deer around here, I would like to see this one--a magical creature.
(We are inundated with deer on Vashon Island--they are a road hazard and garden destroyers.)

Awe, she is just precious. What a fantastic job on combining the head and wings. The wings look as if they grew right from the body. Love it.

That's great! I love it - When we are on our trip to Iowa I will be searching the landscape for one - or if I'm lucky - the sighting of a family that far south!! Love the ears.
