This is absolutely great. It's a strong image and though I'm not sure exactly what the title refers to, the image itself makes me think the the disastrous oil spill. The rectangular doors opposed to the swirls is dynamic and the figures both stabilize and set up a play of diagonals that is most effective. To me, the figures are in a precarious position trying to navigate the terrible effects of the spill. This is just the best, Melinda. --skunk

I love the title and the idea; I find the state of TX to be a disgrace to our country in some respects, and in others, a wonderful and exciting place, a home of heroes; go figure. This is a great presentation of exactly that. I do think the figures need to be more carefully presented, but you're getting there.
p.s. My son lives in Austin and manages a local high-end destination, Mozart's Cofee Roasters. I loved that city when we visited him, but found the drivers and highways despicable!
