I think the best part of this image is the selective focus on the calendar. Along those lines, I'd have place one of the torches further back by decreasing it's size somewhat, then also a bit out of focus.
This one is beautifully done--perfect rule of thirds, and very effective palette, giving the flame of life the most important focus.
