On not the warmest of days, Wallaroo was the jumping off point for our ride to Border Village on the West Australia, South Australia Border. By taking the ferry across Spencer Gulf, many boring kilometres around the head of the gulf were avoided.
The 'Pudding Run' as we call it attracts motorcyclists from all over Australia including many from the 'Farriders' group'.
The aim of the ride is to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and to pay homage to a 30 years old Big Sister Self Saucing Pudding, now encased in epoxy resin with its own leather protective case. The pudding is conveyed to the Border Village by a selected rider. Participants visit the pudding on there Saturday of their arrival at Border Village and begin the return journey to their homes on the Sunday. Many thousands of kilometres /miles are travelled for the privilege.
In the case of our group, the round trip covered a little over 8,ooo kilometres.
