I was at this show. I didn't even know it was taped for tv until last week. I'm slow...
Any one have anymore screen shots from the pepsi smash? i saw this but i didnt get a chance to tape it!! i forgot, but didnt he like dance here?? AHHH! must..see.. haha ROBERT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO incrediblehotgorgeoussexy.lol
I did record it and paused it at that spot and it definitely says, "Afraid of What?" Perhaps it is a come back to Morrisey's "There is no one on Earth I am afraid of". Since Morrisey hates the Cure and has stated it publicly. He's a jerk anyway. "Robert was right when he said "Morrisey is so depressing, if he doesn't kill himself soon I'm going to have to kill myself." That guy is such a victim!
Come to my website and see some of my art of the Cure if you like.
it looks like "A___ of what" most likely it says afraid, but what i wonder is what it is written with, marker? dunno.
heh. in fact, i reckon it says "terror of what", a commentary on the war on terrorism...
i'm guessing it has to do with the fact they're playing on a show produced by a multinational sweet drink company... just my guess and insight into the whole thing...
If it's "Afraid of What?", it may be about what Robert said in the "Us or Them" lyrics - things like "There is no terror in my heart/ death is with us all" - I'm not sure if the lyrics and the writing on Simon's arm are both political, but that was the first thing that came up to my mind when I read "Afraid of What?"...
it says are you an alien or what?!
According to Tivo, it looks like afraid of what? :)
I can't make anything of the first word... It seems to start with an "N" and end on " RU" or maybe "RV". It doens't look like "afraid" to me. But i can't make anything descend out of it, i admit. A dictionary listing words alphabetically, but starting with the last letter would be quite helpful now! :) Anyway, since he wrote that message in/on a place were he couldn't miss it during the entire show, i guess it was something that he certainly shouldn't forget, or something to make him feel more at ease, so in that sense, "Afraid of what?" makes sense. Time to ask Hercule Poirot!
