Hi there,

Lars Svensson and I are searching for images of ALPINE ACCENTOR for the publication of the HWPB (see below). We will be happy to conceder publishing this image on the nominate/European race P. o. collaris, photographed by you.

We are actually especially missing images of the eastern races: P. o. subalpina (SE Europe to S Turkey) and P. o. montana (N & E Turkey to Central Asia), and maybe by chance you could help with these too?

At this stage please kindly only submit the concerned image as low-res jpeg for our ref, and please add to the file name your name, and locality and month of the year the images was taken.

Your help will be much appreciate.

The images are for the long waited and forthcoming HWPB (="Shirihai, H. & Svensson, L. in prep. Handbook of Western Palearctic Birds. A & C Black. London") and which we are working on (already in the past 10 years), i.e. now doing the final image selection for the first volume (passerines). As you may know in this book Lars and I have described all species ID, all races and all the plumage variation on fresh.

We have c. 400 photographers that contribute for the WP collection of the this book project (HWPB) and we have nearly everything, and now trying to fill the gaps... We hope you could collaborate with us.

Thanks in advance,

Hadoram Shirihai (+ Lars)
