A stop in Poland. Lovely, interesting - but a little strange, because it felt so much like my culture, but obviously was not. I felt like a foreigner for the first time in a long while because I wasn't prepared language-wise...usually I learn at least the common courtesies so that I don't look the ignorant tourist. The sounds are different, the words unfamiliar - but I survived just the same. The Polish people that I met were very kind, and certainly appreciate letting loose on the dance floor until the wee hours of the morning. Waiting now to squeeze in my trip to Krakow!
