My pBase friend Fabrice recommended I go to Lucerne as my first stop in Switzerland, and if you look at his pictures you'll see why I listened to him. He knows where the good spots are. However I was disappointed (though I can only blame myself) that the town was not itself while I was there due to the holidays. Most of the shops I wanted to go into were closed, many of the restaurants were closed, and I got the feeling that most of the people I saw were tourists like me. I was also not able to take a ride up to the top of one of the mountains due to weather...okay, I could have gone, but I would have only seen clouds. In all a thumbs-up for Switzerland, but I'll choose somewhere a little less touristy next time. Oh, two things I will remember about Lucerne - lots and lots of Asian tourists (I still don't quite understand why) and REALLY REALLY cute girls. Not all models, but definitely my type (drool).
