This was my first stop in France - I think I've fallen in love. The only problem is that France is much bigger than I expected. It takes a fair amount of time to get around and see what you want to see. I also learned that if you have "French Onion Soup" in France, it's just called "Onion Soup". I don't know why, but I got a big kick out of that (by the way, it was DAMN good). Anyway Lonely Planet recommended this as a place to stay close to many of the WWII memorials, so I shacked up a night.
