The place also runs a seasonal Haunted House during Halloween time too. The 2-hr history tour is cool, overnight stay is fun too. There is a 4-hr friday night and 8-hr saturday night stay. There future plans when they make enough money is to turn the place into a hotel or apartments. Seems like it'll be many years from now, my guess is 10-20 years seeing how the place is so trashed. Again don't be scraed of the dead, there dead. Be scared of the living. The serial killers, odd people and other weirdos out there in the world are the ones to watch out for! The people who will kill for fun, rape, steal, snatch your kids etc etc. Also watch out for the nice guys, those are the poeple that want your trust and then turn your life/family/world upside down. COOL PICTURES!!! THANX FOR POSTING!

A great place to see. The 2 hour tour is great with history. I also did the 8 hour overnight stay. I was alone 75% of the night, it seemed like a very peaceful place. I relaxed and almost took a nap on the Morgue Tray for 40mins, sat on the embalm tables, and took a rest on the wooden Electric Shock Table too. Searched in every room that held the extremely sick to mod-sick people, checked out the childrens play room, the kitchen/freezer vaults, bathroom showers/tubs etc. again very calming place...no spirits/ghosts. No odd pictures, evp voices or odd emf readings. The body shoot is also a interesting thing to see that's located outside of the building where they tossed the bodies down to later load up on the train who died of TB etc. Ghost Hunters + Ghost Adventures TV shows are full of crap! There TV shows, they need to keep ratings high to have a show and need to show its haunted to makes ca$h+keep there tv show on air = $ the route of all evil :> j/k But truely its a TV show and they had to make up 99% of there crap...evps etc. I've been there twice overnight and know a few friends that had parties there when it was an abandon building back in the days. ....and there was nothing there then or now. You'll scare yourself if anything into the hype or being in the dark. Plus the owners are now keeping the place alive by making money on the history and that its so called haunted. Again see the place if your going through KY!

Hi! Just "happened" across this site,how awesome! My Grandfather was a resident there in the late 50's-early 60's.As a child I remember going to visit my Grandfather.After my grandfathers death, we would stop at the bottom of the hill at KFC, get our chicken boxes and go park up on the hill so we could watch the traffic below while we ate.Afterwards we would get out of the car and pick daffodills along the side of the road. I went to work at the "Old Waverley" in the early 70's as a nursing assistant.Years later,2000-2003 I lived at the bottom of the hill,then moved to my present address 1 mile away.Although I haven't been up on the hill in many years, it seems "Old Waverly" will always be apart of my life.
