its a fisheye lens converter that screws onto the thread of the lens on the coolpix 990, it is a nikon lens specifically made for my camera, you'll have to hunt down a Minolta version if they have one,

Hey there, You say you used a fish eye converter? I have been unable to find one for my Minolta. Is it a complete lens or just an adapter?
