For some reason I woke up before the sun rose this morning, and this beautiful moon was setting in the west.
I have a tough time getting the white balance setting right sometimes on shots like this, but this is pretty accurate.
Still, not as good as real life.

A cardinal started singing above my head as I stood there in the darkness, and all around me other birds started waking up.
I think I scared them all pretty badly when I finally moved and they realized I was in their midst!
