Through the Old
Day 340

The people in the field from the picture yesterday were just planting trees.
(I got out my telescope for a closer look!)
So, that's not a bad thing; it just means that we probably won't be seeing crops ever again...
Believe me, I do know when to not complain -- it could definitely be more ominous!

Now that the shock of not having my 717 is wearing off I do miss it a little more.
But, it's an interesting exercise, I suppose.
I'd like to think we could all pick up any camera and still have our style come through. Having to use a different camera has kind of
made me pay more attention to what I'm doing again -- looking for the overall picture.
Plus, I realize I was getting a little burned out.
Perhaps this separation is not all bad -- a stormcloud, perhaps,
and this is the silver lining?

I really only like the 717 for closeups; I've loved Canon digicams way more...the color is better. And, with a rotating LCD, you don't have to lie on the ground to make a photo like this!! (The 717 rotates, but the LCD is tough to see in any kind of light...). Kewl fo-to.

How come you didn't sneeze & shake being this close :>) Pleased to hear about the trees, though it could be landscaping trees they are using... :>( keep that telescope close at hand !!

Carmen this is beautiful. Excellent perspective and dof. The brightness of the background almost gives this a high-key feel. Well done.
