If I don't take my UV filter off the camera when I point it directly at a light, I get this odd green 'phantom echo'.
You can't see it very well in this picture (it's between the two lights, just above the red one), but it's kind of cool.
Unless you don't want a green blob in your picture -- then it's bad.

I'm gonna have to look close from now on-I don't think I've ever taken a shot w/out the UV.

I use a uv filter too but not notice this at all.

I can't see it on my monitor. It's just all black. But still a nice abstract.

I think that this is reflection from the coating bouncing off the camera lens to the uv filter, then back to the photo sensor.
I have never studied the effects of the different coating on lens's. This might be a good test subject. Hmmm I'll have to think about that.
