Day 162

No, it's not my blankie.

It helps keep me warm, when getting irate over the heating bill just doesn't cut it.
...it is a bit more raggy than I realized...

Here's my buddy shot: Me and My Shadow

Very foreboding image at one glance and very tender at the next. I think this is really excellent work. Maintaining the focus on the face with the thread dangling before the lens is great. Reminds you of the movie-making staple shot where the thread would be in macro focus and then the focus shifts slowly to the background to reveal the true subject.

Hey, if it works. :)

Nice self portrait. You look foreign like you're wearing the head covering of a different culture.

I like it - nice tones.

Russ has it.You appear not to feel secure at all. The cropping is excellent.

I can't find the correct word....inscrutable, maybe. When I saw the thumb I thought it was someone from another part of the world. Haunting...not in a ghostly way....I just can't think of the right word. It certainly is exceptional, Carmen.

Mother Theresa - ish...

To me, you've captured a certain vulnerability. This image is saying a lot...

Amazing shot!

This is excellent. It's more than just a s/p; this photo is laden with such a depth of emotion. Ironically, your image looks anything but secure within that security blanket. Fascinating.

Fascinating and a bit mysterious.

Hi, Carmen. I also love the crop on this image. The black & white treatment and tones is very creative, too. Good job! Your galleries are GREAT!

Yeah, really like the crop on this. I get a sense of the mysterious. Sharing a similar blanket at the momemt.

Intense provocative and sensual even.

Not your blankie? um.. your Wubby?
I like the crop on this.. right at the eyes and the treatment gives it a raw look.. i like the string right down the front as well. Nicely done.. very creative
