This is so much fun. I just found this and I swear I did not copy you when I put up my image of October 8: http://www.pbase.com/nnye/image/34770724. Yours is better, by the way.

Is this one of those asian ladybugs that have invaded the north country? they get into the house and live under the siding all winter...drives people up here nuts... great title for a cool photo...I'm on a wireless connection today in a coffee shop cuz the weather turned bad and they're about to close...rats!!

This is SO good! The colors, the long shadow...so many things to love about this photo. The alternate is great as well. Nice, Carmen!

The ridge of the pumpkin must look enormous to him. Love the little leg shadow. Really really nice.

Agree, the shadow makes the pic

Larry Ahern 06-Oct-2004 23:39
Oh yeah ... the shadow does it! Very nice!

Cheryl Hawkins 06-Oct-2004 23:25

I wonder if it's asking what is that giant thing in front of me...he he !! Top capture Carmen. My absolute favourite bug that makes me sigh with relief at the site of them. My garden has not had any type of chemical spray for years & as a result the numbers of good guys increase each season.
