I wanted to go out and get some good pictures of the flowers in bloom, as well as the butterflies
(the weeds are bad this year, but at least the flowers are abundant also)
but Hummerdink was on his perch literally ALL day, guarding the back patio,
and I didn't want to disrupt him.

So I went for this picture through the window, which I thought turned out cool in spite of what I thought I wanted.
I love macros and close-up shots, so if I hadn't been forced to stay back
I would have been right up in the flowers' face again.
