Nice out today, took advantage to get one more job done -
square up the boxwoods.
This is the first time they've been trimmed in about three years - after
the polar vortex a couple two-three years back where we had -20 or lower for about
a week, it really burned some things and slowed their growth.
They're starting to recover but still growing slowly as you can see by the ones in the back
and on the left - normally I cut them in the spring and they're ready for a trim again in the fall.
Very nice to see them looking neat again.
Shirt sleeves, no hat, but boy the wind!
I think we had gusts over 40 mph.
The boxes I had as drop cloths for the clippings were barely helpful -
as soon as the clippings came off the wind picked them up and practically sent
them into the next county.
Still comfy temp for this kind of work.
