as I had been watching the weather forecast.
(I decided not to tell it what was coming.)

I like the main (technically it's the better of the two photos with a clean, sharp central subject, a rich pair of colours, and a nice neutral background to stand out against), but I think I prefer the alternate simply because the very, very low down perspective is relatively uncommon. Variety being the spice of, etcetera.
